About Clutchrig
Independent PC gaming and hardware testing. We measure what we review, on our own bench, and we publish the raw numbers.
What this site is
Clutchrig covers PC gaming and the hardware it runs on. Not press releases rewritten into articles — playable detail, measured performance, and the context needed to decide whether something is worth your time or your money.
Our desks
- Guides — Practical guides for getting started, progression, systems, and smarter decisions.
- News — Current announcements, patches, seasons, events, and platform changes from verified sources.
- Reviews — Transparent state-of-the-game assessments with methodology and research limits stated clearly.
- Setup — Hardware, performance, and setup advice. Nothing is labelled tested until Clutchrig measures it.
How we test
Reviews are built on measurements we take ourselves, on the same bench, with the same settings from one game to the next. When a score appears on this site, the method that produced it is published alongside it. A number without a method is an opinion wearing a costume.
When we cannot measure something — a server population, a publisher's roadmap, a claim we can only source from elsewhere — we say so and name the source rather than presenting it as our own finding.
How the site pays for itself
Advertising. Every advertising slot on this site is labelled as such and sits outside the editorial flow. No advertiser sees an article before publication, and no commercial relationship changes a score, a verdict, or a recommendation. If that ever stops being true, it will be written here first.
Corrections
We publish numbers, so we will eventually publish a wrong one. When that happens, tell us and we fix it — the article is updated and the change is stated in it, not quietly overwritten. Write to us from the contact page.
