Neverness to Everness Version 1.3 is live. Hotta Studio announced the full update on August 18 and completed the scheduled maintenance on August 19, bringing a new main story, a new explorable area, limited S-rank character Zankou, a permanent property and vehicle, and a long list of events and interface improvements.
The update is titled Rising from the Moonlight Fog in Perfect World Games’ English materials. The official Japanese notes call its new main chapter Fogden Game and place the action in the new Duskmoor nature reserve. The names can differ between localizations, so players should use the wording displayed by their selected client rather than assume every translated proper noun is interchangeable.
The story and map expansion
Version 1.3’s main quest continues after Tale of the Red Dragon. It sends the uninvited into another confrontation with Madame T and the Scarlet Letter. The new Duskmoor area combines broad natural scenery, a resort at Starfall Bay and Lake Droplet. Six new Anomaly commissions are attached to the region, while racing gains new courses and teams.
The update also expands the game’s city-life layer. A permanent property becomes available at City Reputation level 13 for 6.9 million Fangs, and the new Thousand vehicle costs 4 million through TerraX. Farming produce at the property can be sold using City Stamina. Other additions include new delivery orders, taxi passengers, online racing courses, an auction activity and support for automatic driving during city deliveries.
Zankou, boards and timed content
The limited S-rank Zankou board opened after maintenance and runs until September 9 at 06:59 JST. A matching limited Arcana, Heart-Eating Blade, follows the same window. Nanally and her Prepare Arcana also return during that period. These are confirmed banner dates from the patch notes, not a forecast.
Version 1.3 includes a seven-day login reward, beach-volleyball activity Stars Valley, the Surfbreaker race and Battle Banquet challenge stages. Most of that seasonal content runs through September 30 at 06:59 JST. Shipwreck Treasure begins later, on August 28 at 11:00 JST, while a City Stamina boost runs August 24–31 on server time.
Hotta Studio also added a costume-rotation option, one-click collection from Anomaly furniture across owned properties, a minimap for the cat-paw heist, more multiplayer tracking, a PC-only F7 shortcut to hide the HUD, new controller aim-assist toggles and multiple progression-flow improvements. The patch fixes several character, controller, mobile and crash issues.
What it means for players
Confirmed fact: this is a live content update, not a preview. Version 1.3 has been available since August 19 on supported platforms. Clutchrig interpretation: the most consequential part is not any single banner. The combination of a new region, story chapter and city-life systems gives returning players more persistent material than a short event-only patch would.
There is still a time-sensitive layer. Zankou’s board closes September 9, and several summer events end September 30. Players who only want permanent exploration can proceed at their own pace; players targeting limited rewards need to consult the in-game calendar and their server timezone.
No rumors are used in this report. Character value, pull efficiency and team rankings require hands-on testing and do not follow from an announcement alone.
Availability
Version 1.3 released August 19 after maintenance scheduled for 07:00–12:00 JST. The official update instructions cover the native PC launcher, Steam, Epic Games Store, Android, iOS, Mac and PlayStation. Players who created a character before maintenance were eligible for maintenance and bug-fix compensation distributed by in-game mail.
