Gaijin released War Thunder Update 2.57.1.111 on August 27, 2026, changing how players enter and play Naval Enduring Confrontation. The patch enables Battle Rating-based matchmaking, removes the narrow BR 4.7–5.0 entry requirement and now allows participation with any ship at BR 3.3 or above.
This is a focused live patch, not a new major update. It follows June’s Heavy Cavalry release and addresses one naval mode plus a graphics-settings error. Players do not receive new vehicles or a new progression tree from 2.57.1.111.
Enduring Confrontation access is broader
Before the patch, joining Naval Enduring Confrontation required a ship within a specific BR band. Update 2.57.1.111 replaces that gate with a BR 3.3 minimum and uses the same BR-based matchmaking principle as Naval Arcade and Realistic Battles.
That should let more naval lineups enter without keeping a 4.7–5.0 vessel solely as a ticket. It does not mean every BR 3.3 ship will face identical opposition or perform equally well. Matchmaking still sorts by Battle Rating, and the mode’s long engagement ranges, objectives and respawn flow reward lineup depth.
Gaijin also reduced the number of queued players required to start a mission. The developer did not publish the old and new thresholds in the notes, so any precise queue-count claim would be speculation. The intended effect is clear: matches should be able to launch with fewer people waiting.
Spawn and spotting rules change
Ship spawn costs in Spawn Points have been removed. A timer now limits spawning the same vehicle at the same spawn point, which shifts the restriction from currency to repeat-use timing. Players may have more freedom to bring their naval roster back into action, but they cannot immediately cycle one ship through the identical location without delay.
Enemies detected by allies now appear regardless of their distance from the player. That strengthens shared situational awareness across Enduring Confrontation’s large maps. Arcade difficulty now uses the settings from Naval Arcade Battles, aligning the mode more closely with the standard Arcade ruleset rather than maintaining a separate interpretation.
The only non-naval item fixes reference images in the Water Effects Quality setting that had been swapped. This affects the settings menu’s visual examples; Gaijin does not describe it as a change to water rendering quality itself.
What it means for players
Confirmed fact: Update 2.57.1.111 is live as of August 27 and changes the entry threshold, matchmaking, queue requirement, ship spawn cost, repeat-spawn timer, ally spotting and Arcade settings for Naval Enduring Confrontation. Clutchrig interpretation: the patch’s main goal appears to be reducing friction—both the lineup gate and the population needed to start—while using matchmaking to contain the wider BR pool.
Lower-BR naval players now have a reason to try the mode without first researching into the former entry band. Veterans may see faster starts at quieter hours. The practical match-quality effect cannot be established from patch notes alone; it depends on live population and the BR spread each queue produces.
Players should review every ship in the preset before queuing. Meeting the new BR 3.3 minimum only establishes eligibility; it does not guarantee a balanced or economical lineup for a long Enduring Confrontation session. Repair costs, crew training and role coverage remain account-level considerations outside this patch.
There are no rumors in this report. Gaijin notes that its changelogs contain key changes rather than every server-side adjustment, but that disclaimer is not evidence of any hidden balance change.
