Plarium launched Echoes of Oz in RAID: Shadow Legends on August 19, 2026. The three-month event runs through November 10 and introduces five Legendary Champions inspired by L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: Dorothy Gale, the Cowardly Lion, Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow and the event boss, Ozilda the Wicked.
The event is already active; this is not a future collaboration tease. Its acquisition routes differ by Champion, and some deadlines arrive well before the November finale. Players should decide which route they intend to follow before spending Shards or Fusion resources.
How each Oz Champion is obtained
Dorothy Gale is the most accessible of the five. Players receive her on day seven of a 14-day Dorothy Chase login event. The chase must be started by November 5, according to Plarium. Starting late leaves little margin before Echoes of Oz ends, so anyone who wants the free Legendary should begin well ahead of the cutoff.
The Cowardly Lion has separate paths. Existing players can pursue him through a Fusion Event from August 19 to September 3, completing the required Events and Tournaments to gather fusion resources. Plarium says new players can obtain him through a Guaranteed Champion event. Those are distinct account routes; the new-player offer should not be assumed to apply to established rosters.
Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow and Ozilda the Wicked are available through in-game Events and Shards. Plarium has not described those three as free login rewards in its press announcement. Players should consult each live event panel for exact thresholds, summon windows and probabilities before using saved currency.
Event Dungeon and story setup
Echoes of Oz brings back the limited Event Dungeon with Ozilda as its boss and event-exclusive rewards on the table. Plarium’s story takes place after Dorothy and her companions have separated. Ozilda, framed as an apprentice plotting revenge, pulls the group into a twisted Oz parallel to Teleria.
The publisher also released a cinematic that reworks Dorothy’s search for magic into a darker story about power being harvested and weaponized. That tone explains the Champions’ visual treatment, but the cinematic is marketing fiction; it does not establish combat viability or drop rates.
What it means for players
Confirmed fact: Echoes of Oz runs August 19–November 10, Dorothy is earned on the seventh day of her login chase, and the existing-player Cowardly Lion Fusion ends September 3. Clutchrig interpretation: the apparent three-month runway is misleading if the Lion is a priority. His acquisition window is front-loaded into the first two weeks, while Dorothy offers a much more forgiving schedule.
Resource planning matters more than collecting every branded character. Fusion schedules can overlap Summon Rush, Champion Chase, Dungeon Divers and training requirements. Players should compare their stored Shards, energy and brews against the live calendar before committing. Missing one mandatory component can invalidate earlier spending.
Dorothy’s login path is structurally different. It rewards attendance rather than a full Fusion inventory, although players still need to begin the chase by the published cutoff and return on enough days. That makes her the clearest baseline reward for casual and returning accounts, while the other acquisition routes require closer calendar management.
